Forum Title: Clueless Indoors
hi guys, i am clueless indoors. my skills stop at tile, plumbing, plaster shotcrete, drainage etc, outside stuff. unfortunately i know how to use all tools, so makes me dangerous. i live in connecticut & its is in the 20s today. i bought my first house this summer. anyway, what is best way to insulate my home? I have t & g floor throughout my attic (not living area) ive been considering rolling out bat insulation, putting those channel things where roof (studs) meet flooring. i just had my roof replaced (hired contractor, great job btw) and, any ideas why my window sills are so cold. By sill i mean that litle wood shelf my blinds sit on. I detected some drafts & used a latex weather stripping, applied by caulk gone- drafts disappeared. thanks ray btw i shot some .5 holes in attic flooring & found bat/roll insulation. would it benefit me to proceed & roll our on top side of the floor boards. it is my intent to destroy THERMAL REMEDIATION
